This construction method divides the large-span hyperbolic openwork triangular pyramid hybrid-node space frame into two main parts: the edge trusses and the internal grid. This greatly reduces the amount of high-altitude assembly work. The edge trusses are assembled on the ground, undergo ground-level inspection, and are lifted as complete units into place, ensuring installation quality while minimizing the risks of working at height and reducing the need for scaffolding.
Taking into account the support conditions and shape characteristics of the space frame, the assembly units and sequence are logically divided to eliminate most installation deviations within each assembly unit. By fully utilizing the characteristics of structural expansion joints, the units at the joints are assembled last to eliminate any remaining installation errors, ensuring smooth final closure. The internal space frame is preassembled into small units in advance to facilitate quicker on-site assembly and accelerate the overall construction progress.
