National Grand Theater of China

The National Grand Theater is novel, avant-garde and uniquely conceived, a combination of tradition and modernity, romance and reality. It embodies the concept of harmonious integration and complementarity between man and man, man and art, and man and nature.

When night falls, through the gradual opening of the “curtain”, the glorious Opera House can be seen. The starry, staggered “mushroom lights” on the surface of the shell are like a bewildering array of stars, echoing the night sky in the distance, making the theater full of subtle and chic flavor and beauty.

 

 

Taipei 101

Taipei 101, also known as the Taipei 101 Building, was originally known as the Taipei International Financial Center in the early planning stages. Located in Xinyi District, Taipei City, Taiwan Province of China, it holds a number of world records from the Chinese World Records Association.

Taipei 101 was the first large-scale BOT project developed by the Taipei City Government in collaboration with the private sector, and the 101 business district has become an important indicator of Taiwan’s economic development. A fireworks display is available, featuring the world’s first ever skyscraper-style fireworks. It is the first time on record that large-scale fireworks have been set off from a skyscraper, with the highest launching point at 508 meters (1,667 feet) at the top of the building’s spire, making it the highest launching point in the world.

 

 

Beijing Pangu Daguan: White Dragon

Based on the concept of creating a “world-class building that speaks the language of China”, the developer has invited the world-renowned Chinese architect Mr. Zuyuan Li to design the project. Mr. Li Zuyuan has effectively integrated the 5,000-year-old dragon totem with the essence of traditional Chinese culture.

 

 

Huainan Table Tennis Building: Rackets

The Huainan Sports Bureau has reached an agreement with the China Sports Industry Group that creating a high level of international competition and providing quality services will be their goal for the next twenty years of sports development. And this peculiar landscape will also become a new attraction for sightseeing tours.

Shenyang Fangyuan Building: Copper Coin

The façade of the building is in the shape of “ancient coins” with traditional cultural meanings, which foretells that the owners of the building will have a lot of financial resources and a prosperous career.

People often talk about the roundness of the sky, which means that people should be rounded and mellow externally; and the squareness of the earth, which means that people should be upright and honest, and abide by morality and righteousness. As for the coin’s outer roundness and inner squareness, this is the shape of coins inherited from generations in China, reflecting the traditional cosmological view of the unity of heaven and earth revered by the children of the Yellow Emperor. Mencius said in “Li Lou Shang”: “The skill of the Gongshu Zi, without rules and regulations, cannot make a square circle.” The rules and regulations are only two tools for correcting the square and the circle. To “square and round” two words for this building title, but also has the implication of regulating the behavior of the market economy.

 

 

Prague, the Dancing House

The Dancing House, also known as “Fred and Ginger’s House”, was named after Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, an allusion to a pair of dancers.

The house shape is full of curves and rhythms, the twin towers are twisted like two people embracing each other and dancing, so it is called the “Dancing House” – on the left is the glass-curtained appearance of the “female dancer”, narrow at the top and wide at the bottom like a dance dress, and the cylindrical one on the right is the “male dancer”. On the left is the glass curtain appearance of the “female dancer”, narrow at the top and wide at the bottom like the appearance of a dance skirt, the right cylindrical is the “male dancer”, so some people in the famous duo of dancers Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire will be named “Ginger and Fred”, the two buildings look like their dance shadow, and the two buildings look like their dance shadow. The two buildings resemble their dancing shadows.
