Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center (SICEC) is a comprehensive convention and exhibition building complex integrating exhibition, conference, tourism, shopping and service. Functions cover exhibitions, conferences, performing arts, sports, catering, etc. The colorful ribbon pattern on the roof signifies the “Maritime Silk Road”. After the completion of the whole project, it will become the world’s largest convention and exhibition center. The total steel consumption of the steel structure of the project reaches 270,000 tons, which is the largest in the field of global housing construction, and the total steel consumption is equivalent to 39 Eiffel Towers; and the total construction area reaches 1,580,000 square meters, which is equivalent to 6 Bird’s Nests, and it will be the largest single building in the world after the completion of the construction area.

Facing the manufacturing pressure of 270,000 tons of steel components, scientific organization, coordination, and giving full play to the advantages of the whole industrial chain, the manufacturing output exceeded 46,000 tons in one month during the peak period. Facing the extreme work schedule, the company invested more than 300 cranes and 5,000 laborers in the peak period, and worked 24 hours a day, completing the installation of 270,000 tons of steel structures in more than 400 days, which is equivalent to completing a Bird’s Nest in 2 months, and creating a construction record of installing 5,000 tons of steel structures per day, 20,000 tons of steel structures per week, and 60,000 tons of steel structures per month, and successfully withstood the tests of high temperatures, torrential rains, and the super-strong typhoon and successfully withstood high temperature, heavy rain, super typhoon and other tests such as “Mangosteen”.
