In the steel structure system, high strength bolts are the key connectors to ensure the stability and reliability of the structure, and their performance advantages determine their wide application in many important parts.

1.Connection Node of Steel Beam and Steel Column

The connection of steel beam and steel column is the foundation of building steel structure frame, which bears huge vertical and horizontal loads. High-strength bolts are used here to connect the beam flange and web with steel columns, forming rigid or semi-rigid connection nodes. Steel joist is commonly used in large-span buildings and bridge structures, and its node is the key part of the intersection force of each rod. Take railway steel truss bridge as an example, under the action of dynamic load generated by train travelling, truss node has to bear alternating stress. High-strength bolts connect the rods closely to ensure that the geometry of the nodes remains unchanged under complex stresses and maintain the structural stability of the whole truss. At the same time, it is convenient to use high strength bolts for quick assembly at the construction site, which improves the construction efficiency and reduces the construction difficulty.

4.Space Structure Connection

In all kinds of space structure, such as roof cover of large space building like stadium, exhibition hall, etc., high strength bolts are the core connectors. The net frame consists of many rods and nodes, and the rods are connected with the nodes through high-strength bolts to form a stable space structure. The roof cover of the stadium needs to withstand self-weight, wind load, snow load, etc., high-strength bolts can ensure that the rods work together to withstand the load. Moreover, their detachable characteristics provide great convenience for later maintenance and transformation, and play an irreplaceable role in the whole life cycle of space structure.
